Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Dietitian I (Job Id# 23788).
Hours / Schedule: PRN / As Needed / 8:30a-5:00p rotating
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- RD/RD eligible with CDR, licensed with TSBED. If RD eligible, must pass exam within 6 months of hire
- Written and oral communication skills and must be able to operate computer software applications
- Customer service skills, the ability to function in a fast-paced environment and work as a member of a team are required
Duties:
I. Performs Medical Nutrition Therapy to age appropriate patients in a quality and timely manner
II. Provides nutrition education for staff, patients and their families
- Develops or updates department or system educational materials as needed. Materials should be approved through departmental and system policies
- Anticipates and meets patient, family and/or staff education needs without waiting for an order or being asked by management
- Proactively seeks out current evidence based research principles and provides patient/family/staff education to improve outcomes
-Education materials should be approved through departmental and system policies
- Recognized and utilized as a mentor by colleagues
III. Continuous Process Improvement monitors are completed in a timely manner
- Actively participates in Key Performance Indicators
- Indentify opportunities for improvement and is involved in developing a plan of action
- Maintains compliance w/ system initiatives (i.e. hand hygiene, pt ID, etc)
- Participates in activities related to patient safety goals (i.e. pressure ulcers, heart failure, glycemic control, acute myocardial infarction)
- Serves on entity or system Key Performance Indicator committee
- Reports and implements plan to improve Continuous Quality Improvement and Key Performer Indicator results
- Recommendations for improvement are in effect
- Proactively researches best practices related to patient safety goals
- Is Recognized by entity staff as the department's Continuous Quality Improvement representative
IV. Professional accountability is maintained
V. Developed relationship with foodservice staff and knowledge of department operations

- Analyzes, implements and evaluates current and new services within the areas of responsibilities
- Reviews, recommends, develops and implements policies, procedures, programs, and standards, which guide and support the provision of services, regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards
- Develops, implements, and evaluates programs and initiatives in order to meet volume, financial, quality, and service standards
